What do the ratings mean?
Every runner receives a rating plus win and place probabilities. A rating is a comparative statement about one field on one day — it is not a price, a tip, or a recommendation. A higher rating means a stronger case on the data available for that race.
How does the rating model work?
The model weighs many aspects of a runner's recent form and today's race conditions, then produces a rating and probabilities for every runner. The exact inputs and how they are combined are proprietary. What IvyArc publishes is the output: the ratings, the probabilities, and the analysis built on them.
