Proved better than ever when scoring at Musselburgh (12.5f) in April and has continued in good heart since, creditable second of 8 in handicap at Chester (12.3f, good to firm) 27 days ago, just failing. Can make presence felt.

Enjoyed a productive winter on all-weather, completing a hat-trick in February. Plenty of creditable efforts in defeat since, latest when fourth of 6 in handicap at Wolverhampton (1¾m) 31 days ago.

Won on all-weather at Newcastle (12.5f) and Southwell (2m) in the spring and probably worth forgiving a lesser run in a competitive Class 2 back at Newcastle in June. Multiple turf winner but on much softer ground than he's likely to face here.

Reacted well to a first-time tongue tie (added to regular cheekpieces) when getting up in the dying strides over 1½m at Epsom last Thursday. 4 lb penalty but he remains well treated on old form.

Fairly useful bumper winner. Has hinted at promise on all-weather Flat, including when fifth over an inadequate 1¼m on Lingfield handicap debut in April. Could do significantly better now stepping up in trip for his first turf start in this sphere.

Four wins for current yard, the latest on all-weather at Wolverhampton in March. Caught the eye of the stewards (rider suspended for 10 days) when running on from too far back in amateur riders race at Catterick last month. Possibly found the run coming too soon when fifth over hurdles 3 days later.
