Won 7f Wolverhampton handicap in January for Jane Chapple-Hyam. Mixed bag for new connections but he ran out a ready winner from his easing mark at Doncaster (1¼m) 4 weeks ago. That opens up more options for him trip-wise.

Has an awkward head carriage (would have won when narrowly denied on his Haydock reappearance if he had knuckled down a bit more) but returned to form when third of 10 in handicap at Chester in June. Similar form at Goodwood since.

Has done most of his racing over hurdles for this yard but was successful in this sphere at Kempton in February. Not seen to best effect at Musselburgh 2 months later and also a shade better than the result in the Swinton. This mark should be within range back from a break.

French recruit who has been performing respectably in handicaps for his new yard without obviously suggesting his turn is near, albeit denied a clear run at Windsor.

Not won for 15 starts but didn't shape too badly on his first start for this rookie trainer (formerly with Ed Dunlop) when fifth of 9 at Goodwood (1½m, good to soft) in June. Didn't build on that as hoped at Epsom but eased further 2 lb since.

Right back to his best with testing conditions proving ideal when winning a 6-runner handicap at Lingfield in June. Not in the same form on drying ground at Ayr before shaping as though amiss on a rare all-weather start 3 weeks ago.
