Back-to-back seconds in August at Redcar and Pontefract confirmed his return to form and he was far from disgraced in better company than this last 2 starts. Stable amongst the winners this week and he looks a big player down in 0-70 company.

Won 4 times in 2025 for Stuart Williams and, though he's largely struggled for this yard this year, his last couple of outings have given more hope and he's now dipped below his last winning mark. Could make more impact if starting better than he did last time.

Dual C&D winner who has looked back in good form 3 of last 4 starts, including when runner-up to Melissa Honey at this track in August, looking a little unlucky not to win. Those races are working out reasonably well and she looks likely to prove competitive.

Won at Ripon in July and has shown good form when in-frame all starts since, including behind a couple of subsequent winners, so this mark is likely still well within his capabilities and he looks one of the more certain types to give his running so should be in the mix.

Speedy type who made all from 2 lb higher mark in 5-runner event over C&D in June. Not quite so good since and may find this bigger field harder to dominate.

Yet to win a race but responded well to first-time cheekpieces and tongue strap when coming second of 8 to a thriving rival over 5.7f at Bath last time and a reproduction of that effort could see him go well.

Third at Nottingham over 5f this time last year and produced best effort since when fourth of 14 in a handicap at Newcastle over 6f on all-weather 26 days ago, though appeared to have every chance.

Useful sort at best but has struggled in 4 runs since sold from Richard Hughes. Tumbling down the grades but hard to fancy at present.

Won emphatically over this trip at Southwell on all-weather 31 days ago in first-time cheekpieces, finding a chunk of improvement to beat a subsequent winner. Missed break and disappointed over 7f back on turf at Catterick last time, though, and needs to prove himself on the surface.

Second of 5 to Ingleby Archie over C&D in June but hasn't fired on all-weather since. Falling down the weights and return to turf may help but he is still yet to win a handicap.

Better known for all-weather exploits and little promise to take from recent turf efforts. Able to race from career-low mark here but of more interest back on synthetics.

Promise when third at Chester in maiden that has worked out well in May but not so encouraging in handicaps next 2 starts at same track so hard to be too positive about now.

Won twice over 5f at Newcastle last winter but struggling on the whole this year, including when tried without usual cheekpieces last time (again left off here).

Yet to win in 13 starts and hasn't shown much for current yard, but she hasn't tried turf yet this year and she's actually finished runner-up on all 3 outings on this surface which at least gives her some hope with first-time visor applied even if they weren't the strongest contests.
