Fair middle-distance winner on the Flat who shaped nicely under a considerate ride when third on hurdles debut at Uttoxeter in June. Failed to build on that next 2 starts but cheekpieces on first time in this code and big career best when winning at Worcester. More to come upped further in trip.

Very much a Fontwell specialist, gaining fourth win here in 5-runner contest over 19f 2 weeks ago. Well positioned how things panned out on that occasion and up 4 lb but he's as effective at this trip and clearly demands respect.

Won back-to-back small-field handicap chase contests in December, latterly at this venue. Some creditable efforts over fences this summer and while he didn't justify strong market support over C&D from his lower hurdles mark 16 days ago, it wasn't a bad effort. Visor back on.

Fairly useful across both codes at his best. Back on the up for current yard when making most of good opportunity at Sedgefield (2½m) before finishing well held in a competitive Punchestown handicap in late-April. Not in top form in either discipline this summer, though.

Ground-versatile sort who won 4 times around 2½m last season. Back in form when beaten 10½ lengths over a trip that perhaps stretched him at Stratford (3¼m) in April and with his return from 5 months off behind him, he should run much closer to form this time. On last winning mark.

Better than ever in a first-time visor when winning 11-runner handicap hurdle at Wincanton (2½m, good) in April, racing clear having jumped more fluently than usual. Handicapper took a dim view with a hefty rise and he was brushed aside at Southwell 5 weeks later. Cheekpieces now tried.
