Low-mileage 4-y-o. On the up when making a successful return/handicap debut (following a breathing operation) at Newcastle (1½m). His wind perhaps an issue when failing to get home over 2m at Musselburgh in April. Could be worth a chance returning in first-time tongue strap following 5 months away.

Benefited from a drop in class when successful off this mark in Class 5 company at Carlisle in mid-June. Again ran well in this grade when 6 lengths third at Musselburgh (2¼m) last time, early keenness just taking its toll in the closing stages. Should give another good account back down in trip.

Fairly useful dual-purpose performer for Noel Meade in Ireland. Stepped up on his stable debut when staying-on fifth at Chester (1½m) last time, clocking some notable sectionals in the process. Longer trip should suit on that evidence, and he may well resume winning ways.

Lightly-raced winning hurdler who outstayed an odds-on favourite to land a well-run novice at Bath (1¼m) last September. Off since running up to his best over hurdles the following month. Unexposed making a quick switch to handicaps, over a markedly longer trip than when last seen on the Flat.

Once-useful Flat performer who left Lucinda Russell & Michael Scudamore on the back of a fair 2025 over hurdles. Offered little at long odds on stable debut/reappearance, though, and hard to be confident he's the force of old.

Has been holding his form well since recording another 1½m handicap success at Lingfield in the spring. Best not judged on just his second handicap start on turf at Epsom last time, however, there remains a strong suspicion that he's better on all-weather.

Frankel colt. Dam, half-sister to a smart stayer. Dominant winner of Newcastle maiden last winter. No impact in couple of 1¼m handicaps on good to soft, latterly when turned out quickly in first-time tongue strap here. Potential improver over a markedly longer trip given his pedigree/connections.

Course winner who's been a long way below his smart best for present yard this year. Addition of more severe headgear will need to spark a revival, for all he did run better than on return when beaten 10 lengths in this grade at York last time.
