Placed 3 times at listed/Group 3 level since his career-best third in Group 2 Great Voltigeur last summer. Flying too high in first-time cheekpieces following a gelding operation in Irish St Leger last time. Interesting with sights lowered and potentially better to come on first try over 2m.

Borderline useful mare. Hit the frame in pair of 1¾m listed events at Chester/Bath last year. Didn't come on for her reappearance when well held in similar event on return to Chester last time. Will need to improve markedly for the step up to 2m.

Fairly useful hurdler who's improving on the Flat. Successful in a heritage handicap on this course (1¾m) in May prior to close placed efforts on the July course. Tougher task at the weights on first start in listed race, though, with 2m a question mark given his enthusiastic style.

Smart dual-purpose performer at his best. Continued below form despite making a better fist of things when beaten 5¾ lengths in the Ebor at York (1¾m). Hard to be confident that step back up to 2m will spark a full-scale revival, for all he hasn't had many tries at this trip.

Progressive 3-y-o handicapper who just failed to land a third success of the year on the July Course (1¾m) on penultimate start. Now takes on his elders after finishing down the field in a Goodwood Group 3 last time, and he could hit the frame if improving for a step up in trip/gelding operation.

Improving handicapper. Dug deep to make it 3 wins from her last 4 starts in a fillies handicap at Goodwood (1½m) last time. Likely to stay 2m (already a winner over 1¾m), but she has plenty on at the weights pitched into listed company.

Fair bumper winner. Probably flattered by her runs in the Silver Cup and Doncaster Cup (both steadily run), either side of being turned over at short odds in a 3-runner Carlisle novice. Doesn't look a dyed-in-the-wool stayer, either.

Successful in Northumberland Plate/valuable heritage handicap at Chester in 2025. Not in the same form when well held in those corresponding races this year. May struggle to better his 6¼-length fourth in last year's renewal of this race, even with Oisin Murphy aboard for the first time in a while.

Came up short in listed company for Jean-Claude Rouget in France. Shaped better than on stable debut despite not settling off a stop-start gallop when 2½-length third in Class 4 handicap at York (2m) last time. Still early days as a stayer, however, she's back up significantly in class here.
