Thriving 8-y-o who has been a revelation for current yard. Suited by emphasis on speed when making it 4 wins from his last 5 starts with tongue strap added at Cartmel last time. Now 26 lb higher than the first of those successes, though, and his ceiling must be nearing soon.

Likeable mare who ran a personal best in a first-time visor when close third at Haydock in May. As good as ever with a decisive success on the Flat subsequently and did well to finish 6½ lengths third following a clumsy jumping display at Cartmel last time. Serious player if her jumping holds up.

Smooth-travelling mare who defied a 17-month absence in taking fashion over 2½m here in April. Found 2m in the Summer Hurdle too sharp prior to resuming progress with success at Worcester (2½m) last time, pulling clear with another improver. Leading claims if lining up. Engaged 2.47 Perth Wednesday.

Forward-going veteran. Added another fairly useful effort to his staying chase CV when 7 lengths third at Warwick on latest start in March. Isn't obviously well treated off 3 lb lower over hurdles and reasonable to think this is a pipe-opener ahead of winter targets over fences.

Tricky customer. Returning from a similar break when encouraging second in 2024 renewal of this race on sole previous start here. Travelled well when 7¼ lengths fifth in the Pertemps at Cheltenham prior to finishing down the field at Aintree. Not discounted if on a going day back in calmer waters.

Third to Storming Home in a solid handicap at Aintree (2½m) before off the mark for current yard in well-run Cartmel handicap in late-May. Back on song when beaten 4 lengths at the latter track (17f) last time. Competitive if the markedly longer trip proves within range (stayed well on the Flat).

Completed a C&D double off 4 lb higher mark last autumn. Probably found 2-month break telling when beaten 11¼ lengths over 2½m here latest. Still isn't one to have maximum faith in, especially in a stronger race than she need contest.

Low-mileage 5-y-o. Built on his Aintree maiden/Hereford novice wins when 4¼-length fourth behind a couple of next-time-out winners (now useful types) on handicap debut at the latter track. Let down by his jumping at Kempton subsequently, though he could resume progress for the step to 3m here.

Hasn't gone on since doubling her career/course tally in first-time cheekpieces here (2½m) in July. No guarantee the step back up in trip will spark a return to form, either, having failed to get home on both previous attempts over 3m.

Course maiden hurdle winner (soft) for Micky Hammond. Best effort for current yard when runner-up (clear of subsequent winner) at Catterick (19f, good to soft) in late-February. Now in a change of headgear following 2 lesser runs this season and something to prove under less-than-ideal conditions.

Low-mileage 6-y-o. Confirmed himself a stayer in the making when chasing home a fairly useful type on handicap bow at Musselburgh (2½m). Too bad to be true on final start last season and while improvement's needed, he has been crying out for this sort of test.
