Shaped well on several occasions for new connections before deservedly coming good at Ripon (1m, soft) in a first-time tongue tie (retained) 19 days ago. A 5 lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold bid.

Progressed into a very useful handicapper last season, notably winning this race on soft. Has failed to hit the same heights this year but starting to look well handicapped as a result (3 lb below last year's mark). Can't dismiss.

Has been finding his feet for current yard this year, running well when at Glorious Goodwood (twice) and the York Ebor meeting in recent months. A prominent showing is likely for a yard no stranger to success in this.

Cashed in on a career-low mark over C&D in August. Probably found 1¼m on heavy ground too much of a test of stamina at Beverley since. Runner-up in this off 4 lb higher last year. Gets the vote from handy draw.

Rejuvenated for new yard when winning 2 handicaps at Meydan earlier this year. Also a good second of 5 at Hamilton (1m) in July and never enjoyed much room towards the rail when only sixth of 9 at Ripon latest.

Likeable sort who enhanced his fine York record with a 7f win in July. Creditable efforts twice since and he's a former winner at this meeting. Likely to be competitive yet again.

Useful effort when narrowly winning a Longchamp handicap (7f) in late-May. Changed hands for €80,000 and bright start to life on these shores when close sixth in Summer Cup at Thirsk (1m) last month. Well held dropped to 6f at the York Ebor meeting since but should find this more suitable.

Got back on the up when winning off this mark at Redcar in May. Has found it harder since but latest Goodwood third of 7 was a step back in the right direction. A visor goes back on.

Fair German 1m winner. Has improved for new yard this season, scoring at Hamilton (9f) in May and good fifth in John Smith's Cup at York (demoted from third for hanging left). Did too much too soon in another strong York handicap at last month's Ebor meeting and the return to 1m looks a good move.

Lightly-raced sort who resumed with win in 11f Southwell novice in March but has failed to beat a rival in listed races over 1¼m and 1½m since. Takes a marked drop in trip back from 3 months off but Oisin Murphy has been booked.

Didn't need to be at his best to land the odds in maiden at Pontefract (6f) in May. Took his form up a notch when following up on handicap debut at Catterick (7f) in July and creditable efforts since, latterly 3 lengths third of 8 at Epsom (7f, good). Tackles 1m for first time now.

Goes very well on going softer than good, finishing runner-up in the Lincoln and Balmoral in 2024. Not seen since seventh in Golden Mile at 2025 Glorious Goodwood but given a chance by the handicapper as a result and a good record fresh means it would be no surprise were he to return with a bang.

Successful 3 times over 1m in 2024 for Ed Bethell but lightly raced and hasn't seriously threatened since. Entitled to come on for last month's Wolverhampton reappearance but others are much more solid.
